About me

I am William Bitter. I was born in New York City where I spent my earlier years roaming the streets. When I was 11 years old I was placed into foster care where I bounced around a little bit until I settled in a home in the small town of Mahtomedi in Minnesota. Having had many hardships growing up and heading down the wrong path, I managed to turn my life around during my senior year of high school. With the help of a few scholarships and many loving people supporting me I recently graduated with my masters degree in economics. Having had a job and been in school my entire life I can finally reward myself with the fantasy that I have always had, to travel the world. Thanks to my scholarship I was able to work and save enough money to embark on a one or possibly two year journey around the world. I gave all my belongings to my friends and family freeing me from my possessions and allowing me to carry my entire life in the backpack you see above. After tying up all the lose ends, with the necessary funds, and the lack of future obligation, I headed out the door to catch my one way flight to Bangkok. My goal: to be free, to chase all my wildest dreams, explore all my interests, experience all that life has to offer, see what is out there, meet new and interesting people, learn, improve myself, improve the world, and of course have fun!
