Riding Solo, day 1

Friends left. Explored more of Ko Lanta by motorbike today. Met people at new hostel. Almost got bit during a dog pack battle in the street while walking home from a party. Good first day on my own.

5 crazy Americans in Ko Lanta

Riding scooters
= not one

But two casualties

Soon to be posted.
PS:
I did not crash.

Koh Phi Phi

We all took turns getting acclimated to the food, last day in Tonsai & first day in Koh Phi Phi was my turn getting sick.

Scuba diving was dope.
Cooking class

Dangerous hike to the lagoon

This was the trail: very muddy, rocky, and mostly vertical.

This is where i turned around with my flip flops slippery with mud & falling apart.

Wiped my muddy hands on my shorts to capture this image.

After an enjoyable rinse at a Gorgeous beach

Tons of monkeys near the beach.

Overall, an amazing day.

A few more pictures of Tonsai

Rock climbing in Tonsai

From Bangkok to Tonsai

A flight to Krabi left us with no willing long-tail boats since the wind and water was too rough. Tuk tuk to the next town over & we found a willing long-tail. The waves were massive resulting in all of us wet & laughing danger in its face. The boat was only willing to bring us to Railay since it was too rough so we walked to the other side of Railay & since it was high tide we had to hike & climb through a crazy trail in the dark with all of our bags. I say climbing because it required all feet & hands. We found later that a girl had fallen and broke her arm that same night same trail. Sweaty & muddy we made it to Tonsai, an off the beaten path rock climbers haven.

$1 pad thail 5x a day

Bon voyage

Having just completed my masters degree in Economics and after saving lots of cash, for the first time in my life i am free from all responsibilities. No job, no school, no future commitments, and funds. All of this giving me freedom to go wherever and do whatever i want. With the wind in my sails i do what any rational agent would do; embark on an adventure with a backpack and a one way ticket to Thailand! Here I chasing all my dreams and interests starting with one big leap. I start this blog as i walk out the door with my new home on my back.
