Cambodia

Cambodia
Having only two weeks here I did the very basic well-worn path through Cambodia and I absolutely loved it. It started in Siem Reap.

Siem Reap
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat Daypass
This place is breathtaking with tons of ancient ruins you can climb and explore. With a little imagination you can really transport yourself through time here.
Sitting on this perch, I feel like the guy from Assassin's Creed.
We had to run when security told us we weren't supposed to climb this part.
The famous sunset at Angkor Wat
Waiting for the sunrise
Ang Kor Tom, my favorite of all. Tons of passageways to explore.

This one is famous because Tomb Raider was shot here

Otres Beach
Doing nothing but eating and writing on the beach
So relaxing. Good place if you just want to sit at the beach all day and do nothing but relax.

Koh Rong
This island you can relax all day on the beach or you can do boat tours with spear fishing and snorkeling. Other activities like mountain biking and kayaking are also available. There is also a very nice nightlife when the sun goes down, but all electricity goes out by 2am.

Hiked to Long Beach with some new friends
Having a beer with the sunset
Here comes the daily ice truck haha

Serendipity, Sihanoukville
Only spent one night here but I would say if you like to party this is the place to do it. After having 25 cent beers at Utopia during a late happy hour you can head to all the bars by the beach and with the right flier can have free drinks at all the bars. After this deal JJ's offered 1 dollar buckets. very cheap and fun.

Phnom Penh
The only thing I did was visit the Killing Fields here. This will give you a in depth history about what happened here in Cambodia in 1975-1980 and if you don't know anything about it this will blow your mind. Very sad history and has the best audio tour that I have ever listened to.

Cambodia surprised me with friendly locals, amazing sights, relaxing beaches, fun parties, interesting history, and a overall good time having known nothing about this place prior. Already it is time to say goodbye to Cambodia.

Now I'm off to Ho Chi Minh tomorrow where I will scope out the possibilities while I wait for my friend to fly in for a week in Vietnam with me. Looking forward to seeing you Enea.

Bangkok, my new home?

“Bangkok, I already miss you”

New friends

Tuk Tuk to Chinatown on Chinese New Year

Why do I love living in Bangkok? Lets see:

Partying with lots of friends

Hardcore working out at Ramkhamhaeng University Gym every day

 Eating, Eating, Eating

And last but not least, Love
You might remember Rose from earlier in this blog looking out the window of the train. That was taken when we met, I didn’t know I would see her again after that but here we are:

Goodbye Thailand, I will miss you.
Next stop, Cambodia
